Fun Facts About Me For Swifties!

I have been a fan of Taylor Swift since Our Song and her music has helped pull me through a lot, including friendship loss, depression, and what will soon be my third time facing homelessness. The friends I have made in the Swiftie fandom have become like family to me and I felt like it was only right to have a space dedicated to that community here.

My Book Dedicated To Taylor Swift

My debut novel, published June 2023, is dedicated to Taylor for saving my mother and giving me the security to prioritize my writing.

My Review of The Tortured Poets Department

I was honored to be hired to review The Tortured Poets Department (and its surprise double album). I’m really proud of this piece.

Two women standing together in front of a wall decorated with pink and white roses. One woman is wearing a light blue T-shirt with a graphic and text, a denim skirt, white leggings, and dark sneakers. The other woman is dressed in a floral dress with a green velvet cape, smiling and leaning toward each other.

How Taylor Saved My Mom’s Life

In 2020, Taylor gifted my family $3,000 to keep my family safe (and inside!) during the pandemic. It changed my life.

Watch my video on Taylor-themed writing tips!

When Midnights came out I made a video on my writing advice centered YouTube channel with writing tips inspired by Taylor’s gift for storytelling. It’s one of the videos I’m most proud of on my channel and it’s been received really well. I’m currently expanding it into a bigger workshop that I will be presenting for the first time on July 9th of this year (if you know, you know, haha).

Basic Swiftie FYI:

  • Impossible to answer, but I joke that I am “Sweeter Than Fiction’s sole defender” because it is so underrated by the fandom yet means so much to me. The concept of believing in someone’s ability for greatness even when everything in the world is saying otherwise is very important to me given my history in poverty and my wishes for my author career.

  • This one used to change all the time until Evermore came out and to this day I cannot isolate an single favorite song from it because I love them all so much. However, Tortured Poets is quickly climbing up my rankings. Evermore may have to share her crown soon.

  • Reputation Tour Seattle! That was my first concert ever, despite knowing of her every time she toured before and sobbing on the days she’d perform because I couldn’t afford to be there. I bought one ticket and attended by myself. It is the ONLY time I have ever spent money on myself and not regretted it.
